Feb. 1st, 2005 07:18 pmNo more gas drops for Benjamin. When we gave them to him last night, he threw up the entire contents of his stomach. (It was very different from usual baby spitting up. This was a rather impressive quantity.)
He's fine now, and we talked to the on call pediatrician that night, who wasn't particularly concerned as long as it didn't happen again and there weren't any other symptoms. But it looks like we need to find some other way to help the digestive issues.
It does not fit the pattern for colic at all. I'm hoping it's just an immature digestive system and that it will all calm down once we find a better way to help him. There are, however, some scary chronic digestive system problems in my family, so if it doesn't improve soon he goes to to pediatrician.
