Yesterday vorpalbunny came over with her baby and visited for several hours, which was most excellent. :-)

(And she brought me dishwasher baskets! They work, and now I have a clearer sense of what I ideally want, so I can go looking for more (possibly slightly larger) baskets this weekend. I think what I really need is the largest closed baskets I can fit on the top rack, with small enough mesh that even the tiny pump pieces don't fall through. The pumping equipment bits vary a fair amount in size, and they all need to stay firmly on the top rack.)

Can anyone recommend a good contractor for exterior de-leading?

We need to replace the shingles entirely on most of the house, rather than strip the paint, as the shingles are in rotten shape. There is also a bit of trim and such-like that we could replace, but it is in good enough shape that it might make more sense to just strip the paint or encapsulate it. (The shingles on the two top floor long sides of the house were already replaced and repainted, so it isn't *quite* as huge a job as it could be.) The contractor we've been trying to hire since last year is being most exceedingly slow about even giving us an estimate, so I'm wondering if we ought try to find someone else.

"Put him on the purple thing."

Chip looks around. The sheets are purple. The blankets are purple. There is a purple shirt on the pillow, and a purple receiving blanket on the bed. For that matter, the walls are purple and so are the baby's clothes.

He selects the receiving blanket as the most logical place to put the baby.

While it might be nice to have the height to go with my girth, I, despite the assumptions of most clothing manufacturers, in fact do not.
