cognitive growth

Benjamin now seems to understand that if I take $HIGHLY_DESIRABLE_OBJECT off of the floor next to him and place it on the desk and then immediately bend back down the pick him up while I am sitting in the desk chair, that he is about to be placed on my lap to play with it while I type. (Prior to this he would immediately scream for it, rather than realizing that he was about to get it back AND get to sit in my lap.)
