Feverish baby either cried or slept most of the day. Then as soon as he was feeling a bit better his clumsy mother managed to squish his hand with the desk chair. (The pediatrician thinks he is fine, and he stopped complaining after a few minutes. There's no bruising or any indication of serious injury, but it certainly terrified *me* -- and probably him as well.)

Now I'm sick too. At least I think I am. I certainly feel like I've been run over, perhaps only by a small bicycle, but run over nonetheless. No fever, but I have to be extremely sick to actually have even a low grade fever.

(It's just one of those weird things about me. My body does not produce a noticeably elevated temperature when I am sick. Other than the iatrogenic fever in the hospital right before Benjamin was born, I cannot actually recall the last time I had anything that might be considered a fever. Apparently Benjamin did not inherit this. Or else he is extremely ill, but I don't think so. While he is clearly not feeling well, I don't think it is anything too major.)
