I went to an absolutely wonderful party last night at [livejournal.com profile] dreams_of_wings' house. Great conversations, lots of fabulous food, many old friends I hadn't seen in far too long, interesting new folks to talk with, a cheerful and mellow baby, an utterly gorgeous house to admire... what could be finer than that? :-)

In my previous post, I was attempting to write the possessive of [livejournal.com profile] dreams_of_wings.

I had originally written it [livejournal.com profile] dreams_of_wings's, but I then immediately concluded that that was incorrect and corrected it to read [livejournal.com profile] dreams_of_wings'. I'm not *entirely* sure this is correct either, however, as, although wings is plural, it is a component of a name that is singular. (The possessive of more than one Charles is Charleses' after all, at least according to Chip, who would presumably know.)

I suspect the typical way to get around this is to rephrase the sentence, but, if what *is* correct in this case?
