Let's just say that, as I actually cannot walk without the shoe thing they gave me for my foot, I would guess that all the evidence appears to point to the toe being broken indeed.

two things that I actually find somewhat amusing:

I just noticed I was given a right shoe, but the broken toe is on my left foot.

Benjamin is determined to take the gauze and tape off my foot and throw it away. (Tidiness is not always a feature, I guess...)
