Benjamin now apparently knows how to climb the shortest of the completely vertical ladders at the playground. This is rather cool, until I think too hard about the implications of this rather transferable skill. It occurs to me that most of our bookshelves essentially provide considerably larger rungs in much closer proximty to each other than does the ladder at the playground.

And there are so very, very many things that cause him to go "shiny!" up there. Perhaps it is time for this to change...

Note to self:

If you are utterly miserable with the same symptoms as at least two of the adults you were around on Sunday evening *and* your child, the chances are you are not, in fact just lazy, suddenly remarkably out of shape or far more sleep-deprived than you thought. It also is highly unlikely to be food poisoning if only you and one other person of the three showing symptoms actually ate the same thing on Sunday.

Fortunately Benjamin seems to have been the least impacted and recovered the most rapidly. (Yay for the antibodies in breast-milk!)

If the only items listed on your shopping list are currently construction equipment and larger diapers, you might, in fact, have a toddler living in your house.

I wonder if the house will still be standing in a month?
