(no subject)

My mom is having back surgery tomorrow. In theory it is fairly straightforward, although it does have a long recovery (at least a couple of months, maybe more until she can really walk). Last surgery they messed up her blood pressure medication so badly she nearly had a stroke, however. She was clearly excessively drugged in some way too, because she doesn't remember the first two weeks after the surgery. So I worry. (She is a different hospital this time, where her cardiologist is theoretically able to keep a bit more of an eye on her. I still worry.) Good thoughts for her feel particularly welcome.
