Sorry to hear that! :< I assume you know all the natural tricks, but if you don't, let me know and I'd be happy to share some ideas.

It seems very odd to me that you'd be ill one day, fine the next, and ill again the day after. So, I'm thinking, is it possible that you had a UTI on top of some other issue? Like, say, kidney stones? Just asking. Hope you feel better very soon, whatever the cause. -H...

I think what may have happened is that I didn't get enough water last night, because I forgot just HOW much water I should have been consuming. I woke up when Chip went to bed at about 2 and then was really thirsty and in a bit too much pain to sleep after that.

Today I have consumed a couple gallons of water and a fair amount of tea with not much improvement, however...

I know about consuming as much water as possible and about cranberry juice, but there are probably other tricks I don't know that might be useful.

uva ursi tea

You can buy the dried, loose leaves in bulk from the Harvest Coop. Get a few ounces of it to keep handy. You can boil an ounce of the leaves (add them to 4 cups of water at a rolling boil) for maybe 5 minutes, then remove from heat and let it steep overnight. Drink one cup of it twice a day until you've finished it. Keep taking the antibiotics and the cranberry juice (100% unsweetened is best, maybe 3-4 oz. at a time, cut with several ounces of water). I found that it helped me quite a lot in conjunction with the other therapies.

Poor you. *hug*

I'm sorry, I'm so lame! I totally spaced this!

Anyhow...

UNSWEETEND Cranberry juice. (and don't eat/drink sugar) You really can't have too much unsweetend cranberry juice (you can get it at whole foods) if you can't drink it, you can get cranberry capsules, but drinking it is better. It's bitter as all hell, but better then UTI pain.

Garlic 2-3 capsules a day

Vitamine C 4,000-5,000 mg daily (divide into atleast two doses)

Unsweetend yogurt is also good (not just for yeast infections - most UTIs are from escherichia coli)

I could go on and on, but those would be where I would start!

We have big 4 wheel vehicle, if you want/need me to bring you any of that.

That is useful. Thank you.

And thank you for the offer of bringing stuff to me (fortunately, however, we live a few blocks from the store, making it accessible no matter what the weather, but I definitely appreciate the offer.)

There's ofcourse tons more if you want to go herbal, or homeopathic, etc, etc, so if you want/need I can give you more (probably there's tons of this stuf on line too).

Good luck! Hope you feel better soon.
