I forget what I did Monday.

Tuesday.
Worked obscenely early and then went to Diesel.

Wednesday.
Hosted OPN. Foolishly stayed up way too late getting more and more cranky and useless.

Thursday.
Exhausted. (Wonder why?) Had to stay late at work setting up for the next day and then write a conference report when I got home. Finally collapsed. Unsurprisingly, the ear infection I was fighting off for the last week got a lot worse.

Friday.
Despite the ear infection, it was a good day at work. The kids gave me Way Too Much Chocolate and kept making me valentines all day. Had the first of my parent-teacher conferences (with my favorite parent.) Baked pizza with my class, then had a tea party with them, with pink icecream sandwiches and pink cupcakes one of the families had baked for us. Too Much Food. Everyone had a great time.

Saturday.
Slept about ten hours and felt much better. Still had an ear infection, however. Chip and I drove down to Food and Books to meet my parents for lunch. (This is a restaurant and bookstore on the Massachusetts/Connecticut border that is approximately halfway between their house and ours.) Went home and worked on conference reports, while Chip ran errands all afternoon and then cooked a tasty, elaborate meal. Had a lovely, romantic dinner (with the best chocolate cake ever!)

Sunday.
Got lots of sleep again, and my ear infection seems finally to be improving. Had lunch with mud_puppy and mattlistener, after unsuccessfully trying to look at a house for sale. (It was under agreement by the open house.) Unsuccessful shopping trip to Harvard Square. Looked at another house with them. (We weren't impressed with it. I loved the first floor (but I wouldn't be the one living on that floor) and the location was ok, but other than that it had very little to recommend it.) Now Chip is off on what will hopefully be a more successful shopping trip, and I need to keep working on conference reports...
