a castle!
When I took Benjamin for a walk on Thursday, I found a castle of sorts. It has been there all along, probably since long before I was born, just blocks from our house. I had never gone to the top of that hill before; I always skirted around it when I passed through that tiny park. Or perhaps I was just not paying attention; one needs ones eyes open to see the possibilities of the imagination ripe all around one. I knew the tower was there, but not how the rock structure looked as one approached and entered it. I foresee years of Benjamin populating it with the creatures of his imagination.

So which castle was it? The round stone tower in Powderhouse Square? There is a larger, fancier castle on Prospect Hill in Union Square, but that's a bit more than a few blocks from your house.
Are there other castles in Somerville I'm unaware of?
