snow and kids from warm climates

Yesterday I got to take my class out to play in the snow (despite Twit's objection that they would get soggy.) We ran around laughing and trying to build things with the snow. For more than half of them it was the first time they had ever gotten to play in snow, so watching them discover lots of different properties of it (like how well one can slide on it and how difficult it is to actually build with powdery snow) was fascinating.

I love snow! :-)

My horse is from VA, so this was his first time seeing snow too. It was hysterical, and in some ways magical to join him that wonder of soft white bits falling to meet a soft white world. :>
