electrical update
Feb. 1st, 2004 02:05 pmIt turned out when we called our landlords on Friday morning that they have a regular electrician, so we called him. (But thank you anyway to palmwiz for the electrician recommendations. Had they not had someone they wanted us to call, those recommendations would have been *very* helpful. I have a certain reluctance to use a random electrician out of the yellow pages.)
The power went off and on a few times during the day, and was on again by the time the electrician and his assistant arrived.
They figured out pretty quickly that the problem was loose connections in the breaker panel (and one where the screw was completely stripped, making it hard to maintain the connection at all.)
It's fixed for now, although they warned us this will probably continue to keep happening until the breaker panel is replaced. They are getting permission from the landlords to do so (hopefully soon!)
