It turned out when we called our landlords on Friday morning that they have a regular electrician, so we called him. (But thank you anyway to palmwiz for the electrician recommendations. Had they not had someone they wanted us to call, those recommendations would have been *very* helpful. I have a certain reluctance to use a random electrician out of the yellow pages.)

The power went off and on a few times during the day, and was on again by the time the electrician and his assistant arrived.

They figured out pretty quickly that the problem was loose connections in the breaker panel (and one where the screw was completely stripped, making it hard to maintain the connection at all.)

It's fixed for now, although they warned us this will probably continue to keep happening until the breaker panel is replaced. They are getting permission from the landlords to do so (hopefully soon!)

FRIDAY:
Work, and then the electrician was here until way too late for us to do anything else.

So we ended up staying up way too late reading instead... :-)

SATURDAY:
Chip, mud_puppy, mattlistener and I met with the new realtor. Then, after we were done meeting with the realtor, the four of us went to Johnny D's for brunch and talked about house stuff a bit more. (And an extra yummy brunch it was too. Johnny D's has fabulous food.)

Then lots of folks came over to our house that evening. :-)
We had a most excellent time. yay!

SUNDAY:
Chip intended to go skiiing, but his foot is still too swollen to fit in his boot. :-(

We went with mattlistener and mud_puppy to look at the outside of a house that just came on the market.

(Then, after we got home, there was a message from the realtor saying that they were showing it during the time period we had been looking at the exterior. But by now it was past that time period, and, as I hadn't checked messages right away, Chip was a fifteen minute drive away, so that wasn't an option.)

And there is a puddle of water in the basement that has just appeared in the last few hours, so we need to deal with that instead...
