I am yet again trying to post every few days about what I've been doing. We will see how it goes... :-)

Friday I stayed at work a few hours after the kids had left to get various things ready for the big annual harvest festival carnival type thing we are having this Thursday. Chip was wonderful and came and helped me. (Mostly by climbing up to things I couldn't reach and by refilling *enormous* numbers of tiny little bottles of paint for spin art.) I'm very glad I discovered that our tiny pumpkins from Costco had lots of nasty (almost impossible to see) sharp spines on them *before* the kids got them stuck in their hands. Much de-spining of pumpkins ensued.

Then we went to Pizzario Uno in Porter Square for dinner. They have this pizza thing with potatoes and cheese that I'm really into right now. Yum.

Saturday we caught up on sleep (yay!) and then that afternoon caught up on at least some of the household stuff that needed doing (like sealing doors, paying bills, cleaning, etc.)

And then the pirate party! Lots of good conversations and cuddly people, lots of silliness, lots of fun costumes. Great fun. (And I got to wear my very, very favorite shirt, which is this velvety bodice thing with laces. I love clothes with laces.)

We went home around two because Chip was really tired. I thought about staying later (because I can! We are now walking distance to lots and lots of places, so we don't *have* to both go when one of us is tired.) I realized, however, that I was probably going to fall over at any moment, even though right *then* I wasn't tired, and that I should probably go too.

Then Sunday we went to the clothing swap. We got rid of about 20 bags of clothes. (My goal had been to get rid of about half my clothes, which I didn't quite manage, but we did get rid of a lot. Less to move next August is a *very* good thing.) We took home a bag of clothes, but it was all really cool stuff that I'm happy to have, and is light silk for the most part. (The idea wasn't so much to acquire nothing as to only have stuff we really wear.) And I got a really cool leather cap! :-)

Then we went to craft night for a bit (and I got a bunch of materials prepared for my class on Monday.)

And now I should be asleep.

...nice seeing you at the pirate party, even if I wasn't there for very long. and that thing you were almost wearing was quite nice. ;-)

The leather hat is very cool :) Wish we'd made it to the pirate party, but I find I haven't yet mastered duogeographicality yet. *hugs* -H...
