Oct. 20th, 2003 07:51 pmI have discovered that I actually have time on my lunch break to do errands as far away as Harvard Square or Downtown Crossing as long as I hurry. Very useful. (and very dangerous, as Harvard Square is full of bookstores. Fortunately I won't have time to linger... or perhaps not so fortunate, if it causes me to buy the book I might otherwise just stand around reading...)
(Of course tomorrow, and possibly most of this week, they have me out at the place at the end of the earth (or at least the very far end of campus) starting at 7:30 in the morning, so this won't do me much good for the next little bit, but it's still helpful to know.)

Date: 2003-10-21 07:40 am (UTC)Caulay and I were having dinner at Asmara in Central... to get there, you have to go by that one tempting bookstore that's across the streed and I swear, the gravitational pull is different around the place. It was trying to suck me in! But I prevailed and managed to stay clear. It helped that I had a Barbara Hambley in my bag- Dragonsbane series, which rocks hard in comparison to her luke-warm Benjamin January series.
