gosling | plane tickets

Still trying to change our plane tickets. (Chip and I are going to Seattle for the wedding of two of our oldest friends.) We were originally going to be leaving the Saturday before (the 27th) and have a week in Seattle, but there is so much going on that day to which we really want to go that we are trying to change our tickets to a day or two later. We can change them before this Wednesday with a not *all* that heinous penalty (as long as it is a flight from the same on-line ticket thing) but so far we can't find an available return flight that will work. (I have to work way early the Monday we get back (Aug. 5) so a red eye is Right Out. Not only would I have been up all night, they all get in later than I would have to be at work.) And of course the flights are set up in a paired package so we can't just change the departing flight without also losing our return flight.)

*sigh* I now so clearly see why a lot of people don't want to get tickets this way. It seemed like a really good idea at the time...

I think the learning experience here is don't get plane tickets leaving Boston on Saturday if I can help it.
