ok, pregnancy has officially turned my brain to mud.

I just got email from our landlords, reminding us that we have not yet sent in this month's rent.

eep.

(I have NEVER forgotten that kind of thing before. *sigh* I think I had better assume my brain will continue to be composed of mush and start coming up with a system of external reminders for things like bills, crucial phone calls and appointments.)

I used the phrase "sorry baby ate my brain" from the time I announced I was pregnant until I weaned Kfir. Liam is still nursing a little bit but I've been less effected by the baby eating my brain problem than by the serious lack in quantity and quality of sleep. Make lists. Use stickies. Put the lists and stickies where you will see them without going looking for them. I used to use my Visor until I realized I only looked at it once a week. Write all appointments and events down on a large calendar you will be able to see casually in case you forget to check it.

Are you sure you forgot to mail it? I once got one of those calls from my landlord, followed by an apologetic call a few days later when the people in the other office in his building bestirred themselves to carry the misdelivered envelop across the hall.

I've heard about "baby mush brain" before. I think you can rest assured that it is normal, if frustrating. :-}
