Drumlin Farm
Jul. 13th, 2002 05:13 pmWe were going to go to Walden Pond (leaving hours later than we thought we would, because we got busy at home) but when we got there the parking lot was full. So we went to Drumlin Farm.
It was fun walking around, even though we were both really tired, and I concluded that farm animals are actually rather grubby and cranky and uninteresting for the most part. Which I guess I knew. I liked walking on one of the trails behind the main farm stuff best though.
We discovered that the back of Chip's sister's house is really, really close to Drumlin Farm, about 200 meters or so up the trail from the horses' field. We knew it was around there, but we hadn't realized just HOW close it was.
We went to look where Chip's old day camp was, and discovered that there IS in fact a tunnel under the road; he had remembered this correctly.
And we bought some really lovely looking cilantro and basil at the farm stand there. Tasty salad for dinner today! :-)
